Progress on the Consortium Portal will be addressed in the update on Consortium priorities on the morning of the 26th. This session will not be an overview, but rather a time for Consortium members to address development and implementation issues related to the platform, including (a preliminary list):

current status

• accomplishments since Kyoto ([website:Kyoto Materials])
• usage and feedback

site management issues

• process for managing member listings
• process for adding news items
• email feedback
• promoting site to drive traffic

discussion on enhancements/development goals

• reorganize member profile lists by World Bank region
• enhance "how-to" with site-specific information
  • NOTE: need contributions from OCW member sites (refer to Best Practices section of wiki for template)
• link myOCW from Consortium web site after launch (view myocw development site)
• redesign Use page to add aggregated RSS feeds, advanced search, OCWFinder, better linkage to other OER resources
  • NOTE: need OCW member sites to provide two RSS feeds (all courses and new courses) Proposal for OCWC RSS feeds
• add additional links to other Open Educational Resources (e.g. OER portal)
• supporting translated pages
  • NOTE: need volunteers and process for supporting translations
• transition to content management system to support broader participation in site management
